Bonny Mendenhall Calloway
I simply love creating one of a kind pieces of art to wear and am inspired by all things born of the Sea. I especially enjoy combining my skills in fiber, natural stone cutting and metal working techniques to create each one of a kind treasure.
Handmade Sail Bags
Born out of my love of sailing and experience/education in Textile Design, I create one of a kind Recycled Sailcloth Bags. I use traditional sail making machines, tools and techniques to construct & finish the bags. Each bag is unique using Marine Grade grommets, authentic sail making line (ropes) and hand whip-stitching of line ends. Careful attention to detail is key to the creation of each bag. Original hardware, lettering and numbering is preserved and incorporated into the overall design.
Mermaid Jewlery
Adornments for the body that have been designed and handcrafted by Miskatonic Mermaids. The pieces have been inspired by Atlantean, Phoenician and Ancient Sea Dweller Folklore
Octopus wraps
These wrap style bracelet are each made with genuine gemstones, cultured and fresh water pearls, natural seashells and antique patina crystal spacers.
The wrap style keeps the stones and pearls close to the wearer's arm. This allows the natural lacquer on the pearls to absorb the body warmth and "glow" when worn.
Megalodon Necklaces
These genuine fossils are diver direct from a bed several miles off of the North Carolina coast. Each piece is unique, hand wire wrapped, soldered and gilded with patterns. The necklace is made in the Rosary style using semi-precious gemstones and pearls. All closures are handmade to compliment the style.
We also call these our "Pirate Princess Pendants".
Ear rings
Our handmade earrings are each unique and designed for Mermaids. We use 14kt and 18 Kt gold, genuine pearls, gemstones, natural seashells and starfish. We strengthen the starfish with multiple hand painted coats of resin.

At Miskatonic Mermaids, we share a fascination and love of the Ocean drawing inspiration from ancient myths and legends surrounding it. We try to incorporate all the mystique it has to offer in each and every piece.
